An original colour map of India from Harmsworth's New Atlas, printed in 1920 at a scale of 1:12,000,000. The main map covers the whole subcontinent, with two insets: one showing the Aden Protectorate, the other charmingly titled "Raininess" — the atlas's own word for its rainfall chart, and a nice reminder of how cartographers wrote a century ago. The caption below the picture reads: 'India; Inset map of Raininess; Aden protectorate'.

It's a large sheet, roughly 33 x 44 cm (13 x 17.25 inches). The map was issued across two pages of the atlas and has been professionally joined into a single sheet, ready for framing.
