This book is a meticulously researched account of the tragic fate of ‘The Sikh Reference Library’ during the tumultuous year of 1984 under oppressive rulers. The invading armies burned numerous invaluable manuscripts of the holy book, reducing to ashes documents touched by our Gurus, many bearing their signatures. Despite this devastation, the author urges us to come together to replenish the library. While some losses can never be restored, there is much that can be recovered and preserved.
